Ignore the fact that I'm smiling like a doofus in this picture. I guess I was excited that I was getting my staples out.

Hey, I chastised you to write, not post pictures!

It hurts just looking at these and I am not squeamish about medical matters. Ouch.

I would never have survived post surgery with the frequency and force with which I sneeze. One of my monsterous sneezes and I would have ejected the liver right through the torn staples.

Yeah, Yeah.

Sneezes were terrible! But even worse than that was vomiting (too much information..sorry!)

Oh, Amanda, I didn't realize what a huge ordeal you were going through last summer. That's quite a battle scar you've got on your tummy.

And excuse my French, but what the hell is up with doctors like Mr. Bigshot?!? I've had a similar encounter...not to liver was only my ear! But I remember sweating buckets as a result of pain that could have been prevented, and then crying as I drove home. I was so mad. I'm so sorry you had that experience.

I have no idea. It's like the guy needed to prove himself as a doctor or something.

He had no regard for me what-so-ever.

And it doesn't matter if it's a liver biopsy or an ear thing. Pain is pain, your pain is as valid as my pain, and any decent human being would do what s/he can to prevent that in someone, especially when s/he holds direct responsibilty for that pain.

Gosh, what a cutie you are! No wonder hubby is asking about the bikini! :^)

Why did your tummy swell up so much? Were all the tissues inflamed?? or something else?? (it just looks so painful)

I appreciate you sharing these pictures, I appreciate your openness. It helps to see more specifically what you are praying for and about. God bless you!

The swelling was pretty much from inflammation and water retention.

Also, this wasn't long after my bout with rejection, so everything acts weird when that's going on.

Thanks for the comments. I was really hoping that the pictures would give everyone a better idea of what I've dealt with over the last year.
